DEVELOPING A RETAIL CONCEPT FOR A LUXURY RESORT

Overview

The Breakers is a luxury beach front resort in Palm Beach, Florida.

The resort spans 140 acres; 572 guest rooms; a 20,000 square foot full-service spa; and 32,000 square foot golf course.

Retail spaces were designed by Janson Goldstein.

The property needed a strong retail concept that would to appeal both to resort guests and locals.

RBA’s Scope of Work

RBA was hired to develop a multi-brand retail concept that aligned with the overall luxury positioning of the property.

RBA developed a comprehensive market positioning report for The Breakers within the Palm Beach market.

Based on its findings, RBA identified an appropriate mix of product categories and brands that would cater to both resort guests and local clientele, and provide differentiation from competitive retailing in the local market.

RBA provided a detailed layout of proposed retail space, complete with strategic brand adjacencies.

RBA utilized its extensive network of brand executive contacts to establish introductions between the targeted brands and The Breakers, leading to the opening of a successful hospitality retail environment.
